A & S Rescue is a small rescue group dedicated
to finding permanent, loving homes for American
Staffordshire Terriers and American Pit Bull
Terriers in northern Illinois.

We believe that Am Staffs and Pit Bulls have
gotten a bad reputation by having careless or
cruel owners who neglect them or use them in
illegal ways.

Under no circumstances will we place our rescue
AmStaffs or Pit Bulls into homes where the dog
will be subjected to dog fighting.  We are
strongly opposed to all forms of dog fighting
and similar forms of animal abuse.

A & S Rescue was founded in 2001 by Alise
Carrico and Silvia Simmons and i Since its
founding A & S Rescue has placed over 500
dogs.

Meet Fergus!

Darling Fergus was originally
Grumpy and part of a litter
that included Snow White;
and all of the seven dwarfs.
He's now Fergus and a total
love!

Fergus is ten months old (still
a puppy!) and loves kids and
other pets. He's all
housebroken and has had
basic obedience training and
is still working with a trainer
for extra credit !

Fergus would be a great
choice for a family that wants
a sweet, young dog but
doesn't want to deal with all
of the young puppy work
(house-training, etc.) that
comes along with a little one.
With Fergus you have the
best of all worlds!
