A & S Rescue is a small rescue group dedicated to finding permanent, loving homes for
American Staffordshire Terriers and American Pit Bull Terriers in northern Illinois.
We believe that Am Staffs and Pit Bulls have gotten a bad reputation by having careless
or cruel owners who neglect them or use them in illegal ways.
Under no circumstances will we place our rescue AmStaffs or Pit Bulls into homes where
the dog will be subjected to dog fighting. We are strongly opposed to all forms of dog
fighting and similar forms of animal abuse.
A & S Rescue was founded in 2001 by Alise Carrico and Silvia Simmons and is an Illinois
not-profit organization and registered as a rescue agency with the Department of
Agriculture. Since its founding A & S Rescue has placed over 500 dogs.
